My Story

Hi, I'm Stephanie. You may have found your way here because you don't know what else to do or where else to go for help. You may need space that is a safe place to come to "sort everything out". Whatever the reason you've found us, I'm so glad you did. Life is really hard sometimes and it can be comforting to have someone to figure it out with.

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, a Licensed Professional Counselor, and National Certified Counselor, I bring a wealth of experience and knowledge into the therapy room. What I see often in my work with both individuals and couples is that there is a basic human desire is for us to be connected and attached with other people. We can't feel the connection we desire when our partners or other people in life don't hear, understand, or care about us, and then we often feel alone, isolated, and abandoned.

So, what do we do in therapy, then? In couples therapy, we have discussions that look at the damage that has been done over the course of your relationship, work to repair trust and rebuild the connections between you and your partner in a healthy way, and learn concrete skills to deepen and sustain a more fulfilling and happy connection long-term.

In individual therapy, we explore the pieces of life that can cause pain and discomfort. We go through a process of externally processing your unique struggles and creating a plan for long-standing change to bring contentment, happiness, and direction forward on your personal journey.

I know that hope for something better can be found through even the darkest of times and I will hold that hope for you and help you get to where you want to be.

Stephanie is available to see couples, individuals and families  on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and every other Saturday.

My Story

I'm Marian, and I help couples find what they have lost and face life together again, as a team.  I specialize in helping you both dig deep to really get at the underlying cause of the distance you feel in your relationship. It is usually more complicated than we think. The things that are really bothering us surface in ways that actually create more conflict and distance in the relationship. This is where I feel I do my best work. My colleagues describe me as very grounded, and couples feel comfortable exploring tough topics with me. If you want to feel closer to your partner than perhaps you ever have in the past, then I’m happy that you found me.

I use emotionally-focused therapy (EFT) with couples and families in order to create stronger bonds between couples and family members. Most couples leave therapy feeling closer to their partners and feeling ready to tackle anything that comes their way. I actually have a background in business and accounting, so couples therapy is my second career. Because of that, I am uniquely able to help couples address financial concerns in their relationships in ways that other couples therapists cannot. This may include helping couples to discuss their finances, develop a budget, and understand how to talk about money without getting stuck in the same old ways.

I integrate hypnotherapy as appropriate to help a client reach underlying subconscious beliefs that are currently affecting his or her life in order to create sustained and integrated changes. I also have experience working with clients who have experienced trauma

I have worked with Latino populations and am fluent in Spanish. I also have extensive experience with various Latino cultures and am culturally and interpersonally informed with issues of diversity and inclusion.

Marian is available to see couples , families, and individual clients on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays.

My Story

Choosing a therapist can sometimes feel daunting, scary, and overwhelming- it is certainly a courageous and vulnerable act! That is why I do my best to create an experience for my clients that is warm, welcoming, authentic, and trusting. Part of why I decided to become a therapist is because I highly prize the relationships I have in my life, including the relationships I form with the people I work with in therapy. While relationships can sometimes be sources of immense distress, pain, confusion, and loneliness, I also believe that when they are healthy and safe, they have the ability to heal, comfort, and generate powerful transformation in our lives.

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist-Candidate and a Licensed Professional Counselor-Candidate holding a Master's in Couple and Family Therapy. I'm trained in Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy and I use experiential, attachment, and emotion focused methods. I use these styles because they emphasize human connection, focus on the present, and honor emotions as important sources of information, without framing or blaming the person as the problem. Rather, I believe that most problems in relationships and life occur because of the patterns that arise between people, and that most people are doing the very best they can with the tools and resources they have learned over their lives. I see the therapeutic relationship as a safe way to learn and try out new ways of being with ourselves and others. My goal is not to tell you what to do, but to work alongside you, empowering you to discover the answers and strengths within yourself, or your relationship, that have been there all along.

Katie is available to see couple and individual clients Monday-Fridays.

My Story

Choosing a therapist can be difficult, which can add to the challenges you’re already experiencing. Considering this, I work to create a relationship with clients where they feel understood and safe to share. My relationships with clients are built on my ability to be warm, nurturing, compassionate, challenging  and clinically nimble. We will work to create new experiences and stories in our time together.

I look at all of my clients’ concerns from a systems perspective. Each individual, couple, and family are part of larger systems that impact them. I work alongside clients by incorporating their context, including aspects that are most important to them, in order to enact the change they want to see in their lives. I work to create change through emotionally focused, attachment and experiential therapies. I am constantly considering how clients can find more acceptance of their emotional experiences, find more safety and intimacy in their relationships and within themselves, all while going beyond talk therapy.

I moved to Colorado to pursue and complete my Masters in couples and family therapy from the University of Colorado Denver. Thus far in my career, I most appreciate working with couples experiencing sex and intimacy issues, families and parents experiencing distress in managing transitions in the family system, and individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, and trauma.

When I’m not at Inner Compass I enjoy reading, watching new movies, and enjoying the beauty and humility of the mountains.

Molly is available to see couple and individual clients on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.

My Story

Hi, I'm Crystal. I have worked in the mental health field for over 10 years with people of all ages. My love of seeing people grow, heal, and change has kept me in the field. I believe that helping people find solutions that are going to make their lives more fulfilling is important to experiencing true happiness in life.

With a Master's degree in Marriage and Family therapy, working with couples is a passion of mine. It is one of the best parts about being a counselor to watch as couples find their connection and love for one another again through learning communication skills and how to best meet one another's needs.

I am Licensed as a Professional Counselor.  I have also received additional training in Couples Therapy, Synergetic Play Therapy for Children, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for all ages, and the Mind-Body Connection.

My Story

As a marriage and family therapist, I work with couples and families who are experiencing difficult seasons or transitions in their life. I am a strong believer that life presents us with both seasons of hardship and pain, as well as seasons of joy and blessing. Therapy can be a safe place when you find yourself in those difficult seasons where daily life feels like an ongoing challenge. Further, I believe that therapy can provide the space to significantly grow and learn about yourself and your relationship during these difficult seasons and changes. In therapy, I can give you the support you need to heal, the space to process painful or confusing emotions, and the tools to navigate your present circumstances.

In couples therapy, I primarily utilize Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), meaning I support you and your partner in understanding the patterns of communication you find yourself stuck in, and repairing the connection, trust and intimacy within your relationship.

When working with families, I primarily utilize Emotionally Focused Family Therapy (EFFT) in order to increase the emotional safety and connection within the family and between family members. Additionally, I support parents in increasing their understanding of how to best support their child or adolescent. I work with both parent-adolescent relationships and entire family systems.

When working with individuals of all ages, I approach therapy through an experiential and strength-based lens in order to support you in processing the experiences or emotions that you feel may be holding you back. As we process and discuss past or present experiences, we also discuss your strengths and coping mechanisms in order for you to experience growth, healing and increased self-confidence.

I understand that beginning with a therapist can be a nerve-racking process. When we first talk, I want to hear about your current struggles and circumstances so that we can move forward together in deciding how I can best help you meet your goals and experience change in your daily life, intimate relationship or family.

When I am not working, you can find me taking pictures with my black and white film camera, camping and hiking across the state of Colorado with my husband in our rooftop tent, or visiting my family in South Florida to spend time on the ocean.

Sarah is available to see couple and individual clients Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays.
