I feel like I need therapy...does that mean there is something wrong with me?

“You are not broken, you are breaking through”. 


All of us at different times in our life have felt as if we needed some extra help either individually or in our relationship or marriage.  Perhaps we have had a major loss, such as a divorce, death of a family member or close friend, loss of a job, a miscarriage, etc. Perhaps it has been something not quite so “big” such as feeling left out at work, feeling lonely in our relationships, or feeling disconnected from our partner.  Any of these things can leave us with feelings of loneliness, depression, anxiety, sadness, or just feeling low.


How can therapy help?


When coming in for therapy, you are affirming your willingness to change and shift your life.  You are confirming that you want to feel better and to not stay stuck in your current situation and feelings.  Some clients report feeling better after simply booking the first appointment. At Inner Compass Counseling, we offer a safe place for you to explore these feelings and to get a better understanding of how they are impacting your life. 


What will my first visit look like?


We are located in Westminster at US-36 and Sheridan. Our office is located in a suite that caters to natural wellness and health and has services for chiropractic work, nutritionists, massage therapists, and acupuncturists along with the therapy that we provide.  Someone will be there to greet you as you walk through the door and will welcome you into our office.


Here is a picture of our office. You can make yourself comfy on the couch and even take off your shoes if you feel like it! 




Our sessions range from 50 minutes to 75 minutes and during this time we focus on understanding you and your life, your relationship and where things seem as if they are going wrong, and also where they feel like they’re going right.
